Original paintings by LIE
Lie (Jay Turner | b. 1982) is a Chicagoland born and based painter. He is a graduate of The Illinois Institute of Art – Schaumburg. Submersing himself in the Street Art Scene, he became a master of spray paint and a student of public art. Mixing traditional painting techniques with aerosol, he culled a unique style that crosses contemporary and street art.
Lie has exhibited in esteemed galleries and art fairs all over the country but only a select few know his decade plus history with the gallery itself. Lie was a featured artist before Chicago Truborn even had a physical address! Operating via pop up shops and street festivals for the first two years, Chicago Truborn showcased a number of artists but Lie was undeniably a stand out solo player. His unique style and professional technique drew in collectors and helped cement Chicago Truborn as one of the top galleries in the city. This is his fourth future at the gallery and he has participated in countless group shows.
